Terry began her career as the executive director of a non-profit organization before Cendant recruited her to take a global leadership role where she was responsible for designing new products, expanding into new global markets and growing client relationships. Terry’s executive management experience inspired her to obtain her Master’s degree in global leadership and diversity and eventually leave her business career to work full-time in leadership development and talent management.
Terry led the Leadership and Talent Practice at Aperian Global before joining Citigroup where she led the Executive Development function and eventually became the Global Head of Talent Management and Diversity. She has managed coach practices and is well known for her straightforward approach to coaching executive leaders and their teams through the complex challenges they encounter. Terry is also recognized for her deep expertise in transforming talent management and diversity practices in large scale, global organizations.
Terry’s areas of expertise include supporting organizations, teams, and senior leaders to clarify vision, develop strategies and robust change management plans for turnarounds and transformational growth. A natural systems thinker and inspirational leader, Terry enables individuals and groups to formulate sustainable solutions, identify opportunities and realize potential.
Terry has a Master’s of Arts Degree in Global Leadership and Diversity from University of the Pacific and a Bachelor’s of Science from Oregon State. She is the co-author of a booked entitled What is Global Leadership? (Nicholas Brealey Publishing) and holds certifications from INSEAD, Hogan Personality Inventories and Six Sigma.
